About the event

You are invited to join us for an evening of rhythm, song, and ceremony (+ a little banjo) at Mosaic Mountain Village!

On May 25th at 7:00 PM, we’ll commence with an opening prayer + cacao ceremony to activate and settle into the space! This cacao has been ethically sourced via @medicinewombyncacao from Colombia and is quite frankly… super delicious. We encourage you to arrive on time so you can receive the most out of this very special medicine (but we’ll make sure to reserve some for anyone who shows up late).

From there, we’ll dive into vocal and rhythmic activation. Whether you’re a seasoned professional and have been singing all your life or have never sung outside of your own shower before, this activation will be super friendly for all levels of experience and has been designed to gently (and playfully) nudge you towards deeper levels of authentic and unabashed expression.

Then comes the prayers to the waters! The beautiful venue of Mosaic Mountain Village includes access to a special stream of water that we will have the opportunity to honor as a group. We will set intentions, sing a very special water prayer, and offer flowers to the stream.

Then there is silence, a moment to reconnect with the surrounding land. To sink into the sensations of our own bodies and of the land around us.

And finally… the open JAM!!! To close out the evening, we’ll sit around the fire and share our songs. Please bring your instruments, and anything else you may need to sit comfortably around the fire.

This event has been created with lots of love by Katie Berns Lee and Jade Weya, two Miami-based musicians and space holders. Between Katie’s incredible primal drumming and facilitation skills (check out @drumtemple_ to see some of that!) and Jade Weya’s ceremonial support and medicine music (@thefunkguru), this evening is sure to be one of great intention, depth, and care. And hopefully, lots of fun as well!

Contact Jade at 786-803-6215 for more information or shoot us an email at support@ayalaweya.com.
