Yet, there exists a state of being, a sanctuary of serenity, we like to call "quiet observation". It is in this blissful state that we can experience profound spiritual insights and healing. For holistic healers and spiritually attuned individuals, quiet observation becomes an invaluable tool on the path to self-discovery. The Essence of Quiet Observation


Quiet observation is a state of mind that transcends the chaos of everyday life. It is the art of being fully present and receptive, allowing the external world to unfold before our eyes without judgment or interference. In this state, we become attuned to the subtle energies and wisdom that surround us. It is a profound act of surrender, opening the door to deeper insights, connections, and healing.


After many weeks of chaotic surroundings and wild circumstances, I found that, through it all, when I would find moments alone, I would be completely at peace. My mind was in a state of wonder and curiosity as to how I was not absolutely overwhelmed by the life I had been living during this time. The reason why I felt so calm quickly found me. My observations of the many stories and perspectives of those around me remained in tact in their truth: they were JUST stories and perspectives. I had found that watching life like a movie rather than filling the role as an actress in it, I didn't get lost in the karmic unfolding of my surrounding reality and instead flowed alongside it with loving awareness, a beautiful concept taught to us by Ram Dass.


This blissful state of being, a place of pure observation, is mentioned by many renowned spiritual speakers, gurus, and leaders. This state of being also is referred to in many different ways: the observer, the witness, etc. Through its many different names and explanations, the aspect of being completely detached and fully aware is present always. It's a simple concept, and yet it's one that can take years for one to fully master! Today, we are sharing some of the many ways you can begin to embody the ultimate witness of your life and access the ever-present state of peace waiting to be revealed from within your own mind.



Entering the Blissful State

  1. Cultivate Stillness: Find a peaceful space where you can retreat from distractions. Create an ambiance that promotes tranquility, such as lighting candles, playing soft music, or incorporating natural elements like plants or crystals. Engage in practices like meditation, breath work, or gentle yoga to calm the mind and invite stillness into your being.

  2. Practice Mindful Awareness: Begin by simply observing your surroundings without attaching any labels or judgments. Notice the colors, shapes, and textures. Pay attention to the sounds, scents, and sensations that arise. Gradually expand your awareness to include your inner landscape, observing thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations with non-attachment.

  3. Embrace Nature's Symphony: Nature is a gateway to quiet observation. Spend time in natural environments, whether it's a serene forest, a tranquil beach, or a peaceful garden. Engage your senses fully, feeling the earth beneath your feet, the gentle breeze on your skin, and the symphony of bird songs. Allow nature's harmonious presence to guide you into a state of tranquil observation.

  4. Engage in Contemplative Practices: Activities like journaling, painting, or engaging in creative endeavors can deepen your connection to quiet observation. Allow your intuition to guide your creative expressions, and observe the unfolding process with gentle curiosity. This state of bliss I was able to maintain during the chaos I mentioned earlier has more benefits than simply feeling peaceful (which is the ultimate benefit already!)
